Handling for the Confectionery Industry: A High-Performance Chocolate Production Line

Late August doesn’t slow us down: here’s a distribution line for a well-known confectionery company. Specifically, this line will handle chocolates.

The line consists of a main backbone complete with a metal detector system that discards contaminated or unsuitable products. There are two stations for vertical loading into the hoppers of the wrapping machines and four belt alignment systems with automatic rejection of non-compliant products. The four aligners were installed at the entrance of the wrapping stations.

Excellent performance and numbers: tests show a maximum production level of approximately 400 pieces per minute for egg-shaped or spherical chocolates, while flat-bottomed chocolates reach 500 pieces.
